5 home remedies to rejuvenate your skin



Whether you are a lady or a man, everyone wants to achieve flawless, radiant, fresh and glowing skin. With the progression of ageing process, our skin loses its natural glow, vitality, suppleness and firmness. It often becomes dry, dull and lifeless. In addition to ageing, many external factors like dirt, pollution, improper regimen of skin care, exposure to the harmful UV sun rays, stress, inadequate sleep etc. affect the overall health and quality of our skin.
Instead of opting for cosmetic facial treatments like chemical skin peels to restore your skin vitality and radiance, here are some simple and easy home remedies which you can inculcate in your daily routine to keep your skin young, youthful and beautiful.

1.    Lemon juice and honey skin rejuvenation mask

Lemon juice is highly effective in improving the appearance of blemishes, spots and uneven skin tone. Lemon juice has Vitamin C which is an antioxidant and helps in protecting your skin from the damage caused by free radicals. Honey is enriched with anti-oxidants that help in improving wrinkles and lines. It also has anti-bacterial qualities which help in preventing and curing acne.
  • To make a mask, simply take half teaspoon of lemon juice and add few drops of honey in it.
  • Mix well and apply it gently on your face with cotton in upward strokes.
  • Leave this on your skin for 10 minutes. Then rinse it off and apply moisturizer. You can do this once or twice a week to get good results.

 

2.    Cucumber and yogurt face mask

Cucumber has quite high water content which hydrates and nourishes your skin. It has astringent and cooling characteristics which help in rejuvenating the sun burned and acne prone skin. Yogurt has zinc and lactic acid in it which gently exfoliates and promotes healthy skin.
  • Make a Face mask of yogurt and cucumber, take almost 2 teaspoons of grated cucumber and mix it well with half cup of yogurt.
  • Apply this mask on your face and neck and rinse it off after 20 minutes. Use this skin rejuvenating face mask twice a week for glowing, clear and radiant skin.

 

3.    Papaya and honey face pack

Papaya is packed with vitamins and anti-oxidants therefore is used in multiple skin care products. It is enriched with Vitamin C, A and E along with anti-oxidants and Alpha Hydroxy Acids that helps in naturally exfoliating and rejuvenating skin. When combined with honey it is very helpful in improving blemishes, uneven skin tone, acne scars, and other similar skin problems.
  • Take ripe and fresh papaya. Blend some of it in blender.
  • Take 2 Tbsp mixture of mashed papaya and add 1 Tbsp honey long with half tsp of Lemon. Mix it well.
  • Apply it on your face and neck for 15-20 minutes then rinse off with warm water. Later on rinse your face with cold water. Show off your beautiful skin by using this mask once a week.

 

4.    Orange peel face mask

Oranges are enriched with Vitamin C, citric acids along with other anti-oxidants which helps in reducing the blemishes, dark spots, uneven skin tone and gives a healthy glow to the skin.  It also helps in exfoliating, cleansing and firming the skin.
  • Take orange peels and let them dry in sunlight for few days.
  • When they are completely dried, grind them to make fine powder.
  • Take 1 tbsp of orange peel and mix it will with 1 tsp of gram flour.
  • Add cold water to make a smooth paste.
  • Then apply this mask on your hands, face and neck for 15 minutes and rinse off with cool water. You can use it once or twice in a week.

 

5.    Tomato juice and milk cream mask

Tomato is ideal source for anti-ageing oxidants that helps in protecting the skin from harmful UV sun rays and the Vitamin C in it helps in production of collagen while protecting the cells from the damage of free radicals.
  • To prepare a mask, take 3 Tbsp of tomato juice and mix it with 1 Tbsp of lemon juice and 2 Tbsp of milk cream.
  • Make a smooth paste and apply it on your face for 15 minutes. Then rinse it off with cool water. You can apply it twice a week for enhanced and rejuvenated skin.
